PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED - HS2 UTILITY DIVERSIONS - £500 - £550 PER DAY INSIDE IR35

Job Title: Freelance Project Manager - Utilities Diversion (HS2)Location: Buckinghamshire
Rate: £500-£550 per day, depending on experience
Contract Type: Freelance, Inside IR35
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager for a critical utilities diversion project on the HS2. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility diversions and water and utilities projects, with previous experience on the HS2 being highly beneficial. This role is with a Tier 1 contractor, and a Gold or Black CSCS card and SMSTS certification are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the utilities' diversion project on the HS2 site in Buckinghamshire, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including utility companies, contractors, and the HS2 project team.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying and mitigating risks to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including the requirements of the SMSTS certification.
• Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in managing utility diversions and working on water and utility projects.
• Previous experience working on the HS2 project is highly beneficial.
• Gold or Black CSCS card and SMSTS certification are essential.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the utilities sector.
• Strong understanding of IR35 regulations and the ability to work within its parameters.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
