Project Manager required in East London

GVR Solutions have an excellent opportunity for an experienced fit out and refurbishment Project Manager to a well-established Main contractor based in East London.

As a main contractor they work on high quality and high-end Fit out projects in the Commercial and Retail sectors.

As the Project Manager you will be:

• Act as the main point of contact to the client and their advisors on the project
• Lead client and design team meetings. Understand the client brief and budget. Lead the external design team to develop a design that aligns with the client’s brief and budget
• Negotiate fees with external consultants. Manage change control during preconstruction in accordance with the process. Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to update project cost plans and internal project budgets
• Lead the external consultant teams to prepare and achieve planning permission for the project, including discharging planning conditions

Requirements for the Project Manager position:

• Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline/ or equivalent work experience
• Experience working on fit out and refurbishment projects
• Experience working on projects in the Commercial and retail sectors
• Established senior project professional
• Strong preconstruction experience will also be considered, as will individuals from a client background
• NVQ Level 6 desirable
• SMSTS, Black CSCS Card, First aid
