Konker is recruiting for an Architect with a design flair to join an award-winning RIBA practice based in Newport.

This RIBA practice of 118 employees, split across three offices is looking to grow its residential team due to an influx of new work landing.

They are recruiting an Architect with a passion for residential design and has previous experience with PLCs or Housing Developers to join them.

Their residential team has 33 members and they are looking to add new individuals to it.

The Newport office has been recently renovated to a high spec standard by the practices Interior Team. It is a modern open-planned working environment within easy reach of the train station.

The Role: Architect

• Working with PLCs or National Housing Developers on large-scale residential schemes
• Producing/sketching designs for large-scale apartment blocks and creating bespoke house types
• Using SketchUp & Revit continuously
• Liaising with internal and external project teams on residential schemes
• Creating schematic design through planning submission to Tender packages for mainly residential schemes
• Working in the planning team from feasibility to planning submission

Salary for this position ranges from £37K to £50K depending on previous experience.
