Description
Project Manager – Major Wastewater Project (Birmingham Area)
Perm or Contract £70K - £75K / £575 Inside IR35
Birmingham/ Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH
Our client, a leading award-winning consultancy, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-profile wastewater project near Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Oversee project scoping, stakeholder engagement, documentation, reporting, and panel approvals.
✅ Manage the full project design lifecycle, including Concept, Detailed, and Technical Design phases.
✅ Collaborate with Project Managers to engage designers, commercial teams, and assurance experts while ensuring stakeholder requirements are fully captured.
✅ Lead the implementation phase from construction ️ through to handover and closeout.
✅ Provide strategic leadership, escalate key issues , facilitate panel approvals, and lead stakeholder engagement.
✅ Contribute to programme strategy and decision-making.
✅ Ensure compliance with project guidelines and alignment with broader objectives.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
Proven leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Ability to navigate challenging situations and resolve issues effectively.
Comfortable in a client-facing, high-visibility role.
Experience managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams.
Wastewater project experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, SharePoint, and project management software.
