Description

We’re working with a top tier main contractor who are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of civil engineering projects within the Water sector. This is a great opportunity to take charge of projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and cost control.


The Role:

You will oversee the construction site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring successful and safe delivery.
  • Quality & Compliance: Oversee production of project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management plans.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key liaison, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cost Control: Monitor budgets, maintain cost efficiency, and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Reporting: Produce accurate reports and chair weekly site meetings.


What You Need:

  • Experience in civil engineering project delivery within a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, NEC/JCT contracts, risk management, and cost control.
  • CSCS card and SMSTS (essential).
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator and Confined Space training (preferred).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to challenge designs, resolve problems, and drive compliance.
