Macdonald & Company have been instructed on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee a prestigious property portfolio in London. This role involves leading a facilities team to deliver top-tier property management services, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high operational standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing tenant experience while supporting sustainability and financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of properties, ensuring maintenance, compliance, and tenant satisfaction.
  • Lead a team delivering both hard and soft FM services, including cleaning, security, and maintenance.
  • Manage budgets, service charges, and financial planning to align with company objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and compliance documentation.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to manage contractors, monitor performance, and ensure value for money.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, working towards a net-zero carbon future.
  • Assist with refurbishments, insurance claims, and due diligence on property transactions.
  • Use property management systems to streamline operations and reporting.


What You Need:

  • 5+ years’ experience in facilities management, with expertise in hard and soft services.
  • Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, maintenance processes, and risk management.
  • Experience managing budgets, service charges, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
