V&C Associates is proud to be partnering with one of the largest Residential Estate Functions within the City of London whom are recruiting for a Cluster Facilities Manager, reporting to the Regional General Manager, this position is responsible for the delivery of soft and hard Facilities Management across a cluster of properties providing a well maintained, safe, secure, clean, compliant and efficient environment. The position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the national FM strategy and standards ensuring they are delivered consistently locally. The Facilities Manager will have a team accountable for health, safety and security for their designated buildings.


Key Responsibilities:-

  • Drive the recruitment and retention of the Facilities team and their ongoing engagement through exceptional people and performance management
  • Manage their teams performance, actively participate in performance management conversations and personal development plans
  • Ensuring all properties are manned with the necessary facilities personnel according to agreed principles and property need
  • Making sure the team are taking appropriate action, resolving issues either directly or indirectly and making sure a resolution is found or the issue is escalated in the right amount of time, where applicable
  • Manage the companies policies, procedures and specified and trained ways of working at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Estate planned maintenance programme in line with statutory requirements and ensuring planned, reactive and project services are delivered in line with our quality assurance programme
  • Responsible for the security provision at all the properties
  • Managing the property estate’s P&L, highlighting areas where future capital spend will be required Ensuring the completion of all H&S and fire related assessments, monitoring and testing on time and always being 100% compliant
  • Making sure all property projects are delivered on time and in budget (supported by project team)
  • Accountable for the internal cleanliness (common areas and behind flat door) and kerb side external appeal of the properties
  • Provision of an out of hours on call emergency service, where applicable
  • Fleet Management responsibility
  • Understanding the sustainability strategy, its importance to the organisation, and actioning the opportunities the role presents to help achieve sustainability targets



Key Characteristics:-

  • Approachable
  • Detail orientated
  • Experience working within a FM position and managing teams
  • Exposure to managing fire safety equipment within a property environment
  • Exposure to projects from the onset through to completion
  • Strong knowledge of building Heating and AV ventilation (HVAC)
  • Must have line management experience and comfortable with managing teams
  • Must have a provisional license
  • 1 in 4 weekends to work
