Description

I am seeking a talented BESS Project Manager to join a leading firm in the renewables sector, based in London with site-based responsibilities. This is a permanent position reporting to the Senior Project Manager.

Role Objective: As the Project Manager, you will oversee the construction and delivery of the augmentation of existing operational Battery Storage Sites. Your role is critical in ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end management of Battery Storage Augmentation construction projects.
• Manage and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Oversee pre-construction activities, including contractor selection and contract management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, ensuring smooth collaboration.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets and provide regular financial updates to senior leadership.
• Prepare and present project status reports to internal stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

• Level 4 Qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in delivering energy-related construction projects, primarily in battery storage.
• Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, procurement, and contractor management.
• Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project) and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple projects.
