Project Manager – Automation & Robotics Solutions

Location: Midlands

Industry: Industrial Automation, Robotics, Intralogistics

Compensation: £60,000-£70,000 plus bonus and benefits

Ways of working: Hybrid or UK remote with customer travel

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate customer-specific automation projects focused on cutting-edge transport robotics systems.

In this role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle from concept and planning through to implementation and client handover, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automated guided vehicle (AGV) and mobile robot system projects for clients.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, software, production, and sales teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with customer requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, proactively addressing risks and resolving issues.
• Maintain direct communication with clients, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.
• Coordinate system installation, testing, and commissioning in close collaboration with on-site teams and partners.
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to project management best practices and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field; PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience managing complex technical or automation projects, ideally within logistics or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and/or intralogistics systems.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site commissioning as needed.
