Description

We’re proud to be partnering with a dynamic and growing multidisciplinary consultancy, renowned for delivering high-quality, client-focused services across the property and construction sectors. With demand rapidly increasing in Scotland, the firm is now seeking a Surveyor or Project Manager with significant experience in diagnosing and managing building defects in residential and/or commercial properties.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal role in the company’s Scottish growth strategy, offering a unique chance to shape and influence the future of the business in the region. You’ll play a key role in:

  • Establishing a local presence in Scotland, potentially leading the setup of a new office focused on assessing insurance peril-related property damage.
  • Managing your own projects from inspection to resolution, across residential and commercial sectors.
  • Collaborating with a team of experts to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Advising clients on complex building pathology, remedial work, and insurance-related claims.

This position offers significant autonomy, flexibility, and career progression, ideal for a self-driven professional looking to step into a leadership or development role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose building defects, particularly in insurance peril-damaged properties.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and remedial strategies.
  • Manage and deliver property reinstatement or repair projects from inception to completion.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, engineers, and contractors.
  • Contribute to business development and strategic planning in Scotland.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in building surveying or project management with a focus on defect diagnosis and building pathology.
  • Professional background in residential or commercial property sectors.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • MRICS or equivalent chartership is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with insurance-related property damage is advantageous.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, solutions-driven approach.

This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to shape your career and influence a company’s expansion. If you're looking for your next challenge with the autonomy to lead, build, and deliver meaningful work across Scotland, please get in touch.
