Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + Car / Car Allowance

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Purpose of Role

We are working with a leading facilities management company looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a range of multi-million-pound commercial refurbishment projects within Buckinghamshire.

You will be responsible for managing site health & safety and the performance of all subcontractors across the projects (all located within the same site). This includes monitoring schedules, managing any issues, and working closely with the building occupants and the wider project management team.

Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must hold active or recently lapsed High-Level Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Motivating and supervising construction workers and subcontractors
• Monitoring the progress of refurbishment projects
• Checking and preparing site reports, technical designs, and drawings
• Conducting regular site inspections focused on quality and safety
• Being the main on-site point of contact for the supply chain, the client, and end users
• Leading site activities throughout the construction phase of projects
• Delivering toolbox talks to the supply chain
• Managing HSE and environmental compliance including reporting of statistics, close calls (near misses), and other site safety returns

Person Specification

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 5 years working with a Tier 1 contractor
• Must be willing to work on-site in Buckinghamshire
• Experience delivering commercial site experience.
• Proven ability to manage on-site safety and contractor performance

Certifications & Qualifications:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS Card (management level)
• First Aid (in date)
• HSEQ trained with either NEBOSH or IOSH
• Asbestos Awareness or Management Training
• Legionella Awareness or Management Training
• Recognised Temporary Works Qualification (CITB)
