Location: Truro, Cornwall (Office-based)

Salary: £30,000 – £50,000 (DOE)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week

Experience: 2+ years in planning

Are you a proactive and passionate Town Planner looking for a new challenge in one of the most scenic parts of the UK?

A leading multi-disciplinary practice in beautiful Truro, Cornwall, is expanding! We’re on the lookout for two talented Town Planners to join their growing planning team.

What We’re Looking For:

We want people who are:

• Motivated, enthusiastic and client-focused
• Confident handling a variety of planning applications – from small scale to complex submissions
• Team players with a professional and approachable manner

✅ Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a planning role
• A relevant planning degree or qualification
• RTPI membership is desirable, but not essential – They’ll support you on your path to becoming chartered

Knowledge of Planning Policy & Legislation

• Understanding of UK planning systems (e.g. NPPF, local development plans)
• Familiarity with planning application processes (outline, full, reserved matters)
• Awareness of environmental and heritage considerations

️ Understanding of Urban Design & Sustainability

• Appreciation for good design, place-making, and sustainable development
• Knowledge of transport, housing, environmental impact, and infrastructure planning
