At SG Elite Ltd, we are driving innovation in civil and geotechnical engineering across a range of sectors within the UK and Ireland.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects, from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth of SG Elite Ltd by leading key projects across a range of sectors and collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage projects ranging in value from £50,000 to £2 million across various sectors
• Define project scopes, methodologies, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations and business goals
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and budgets
• Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and deliverables
• Ensure project compliance with company policies and procedures
• Proactively manage project costs and work to improve efficiency and profitability
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value on materials and services
• Conduct site visits and assist SHEQ coordinator to ensure safety and quality standards are consistently upheld
• Facilitate project close-out and lessons-learned reviews, identifying opportunities for process improvement
• Prepare and present regular financial and progress reports to senior management
• Represent SG Elite Ltd professionally in all dealings with clients, stakeholders, and external partners

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in project management within the civil or infrastructure sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering and construction methodologies
• Excellent communication skills. with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry professionals
• Demonstrated understanding of commercial project delivery, including financial metrics, budgeting, and profit margins
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and MS Project (or equivalent project management tools)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry
• Self-motivated and target-driven, capable of working independently and within a team
• Highly organised with excellent planning, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• NEC4 project management is desirable
• NEBOSH Construction is desirable
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Competent in the English language

Hours

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Additional information

This is a Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week at our centrally located Belfast City office
