️ CAD Technician – Roofing & Facades Industry

Location: Manchester

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

We’re supporting a leading UK manufacturer in the roofing and cladding industry with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality metalwork solutions to commercial and industrial clients. With continued investment in technology and fabrication, they offer a fast-paced, quality-focused environment and a collaborative, down-to-earth team culture.

The Role:

Join the Design & Planning team in a varied role spanning the Drawing Office, Sales and Production Planning. You’ll be creating detailed 2D CAD drawings, supporting production processes and working closely with internal teams and occasionally with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings for manufacturing
• Collaborate with sales and planning teams to provide technical input
• Liaise with internal departments and clients to clarify drawing requirements
• Contribute to punch and laser programming (training provided)
• Assist with admin and planning tasks using Excel and Word

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD 2D (essential)
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable
• Experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, Lantek or Radan a bonus (training available)
• Strong communication skills and flexible working style
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
