We are market leaders in the manufacture of precision-machined plastic components, supplying some of the UK’s leading medical, life science, aerospace, Formula 1, and technology companies. As part of an international organisation, we are also a market leader in the manufacture and distribution of engineering thermoplastics.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic environment where your contribution will directly impact the success of our operations.
Purpose of the role:
The Estimator will produce estimates, providing all details of the job, including time, labour and material required and process to be followed ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained
Scope & Relationships:
The Estimator will liaise with Management to assist with the generation of machine shop processes and routings with appropriate times to determine machining costs.
Additionally you will work closely with the sales team to ensure all targets and objectives are met. You will also liaise with Production personnel, customers and suppliers as necessary.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive time-served Machinist to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in a similar role, showing a strong background in both CNC and manual machining. You will be confident working independently as well as part of a team, with a professional and methodical approach to your work.
The successful applicant will be familiar with a wide range of CNC milling and turning operations, and will also have solid experience in manual milling and turning processes. A sound understanding of current tooling technologies and developments is expected, enabling you to support continuous improvement in machining efficiency and quality.
