Our client – a thriving, design-led studio with a reputation for cultivating creative talent – is on the lookout for a Middleweight Interior Designer ready to elevate their career.

The Role – What You'll Be Doing

As a Middleweight Designer, you’ll be a vital part of a dynamic design team. You’ll be encouraged to take creative ownership of your work while developing strong project management and leadership skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to exciting, high-end interior projects across multiple sectors
• Managing tasks across more than one live project at a time
• Taking initiative and supporting the team through concept design, technical packages, and delivery
• Working closely with senior designers and directors to develop your skills and creative voice
• Developing confidence in client interaction and consultant coordination
• Mentoring junior designers and assisting with internal team organisation
• Gaining deeper insight into project deliverables, budgets, and contract frameworks

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated, proactive designer with a passion for interiors and a hunger to learn and grow. You should be ready to take on more responsibility while being supported by an experienced team that values mentorship and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience working across multiple RIBA stages
• Sound knowledge of materiality, specifications, and detailing
• Ability to multitask and meet internal deadlines
• Basic mentoring experience or a willingness to guide junior team members
• Comfortable being client-facing and leading project discussions (with guidance)
• Understanding of industry norms, including building regulations and project workflows

Essential Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD (2D)
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop)
• 3D Modelling Software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, or similar)
• Proficiency on PC platforms
