Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Burnley

Salary: £42,000 - £60,000 - DOE

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Vital Heating Solutions delivers expert design, installation, and management of decentralised energy and multi-utility networks, focusing on low and zero-carbon technologies. We specialise in bespoke commercial heating, industrial services, and mechanical engineering. Our custom Business Management Systems (BMS) with remote access enable you to monitor, measure, and optimise energy consumption for greater efficiency and sustainability. 

Due to expansion, we are now on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join our team. You will lead our commercial and domestic growth strategy across plumbing, heating, and renewable energy sectors. You’ll work closely with our internal teams and will be responsible for driving business growth within Vital Heating Solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Drive client relationships and manage key accounts
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to deliver seamless service
  • Ensure all projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and customer care
  • Prepare and present detailed technical proposals to clients
  • Track and report on pipeline activity through the CRM system
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and innovation


Experience/Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Business Development (ideally within renewables/plumbing/heating)
  • 3+ years’ experience in Domestic & Commercial Installations, Gas & Heating/Ventilation systems
  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Strong commercial acumen, confident in presentations and negotiation
  • Technical expertise to oversee project quality and timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • A collaborative, solutions-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-growing team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
