What We Do
Build UK is a membership organisation representing the whole construction supply chain.
The Government has pledged to ‘Get Britain Building’ and the delivery of homes and infrastructure are at the heart of its mission to kickstart economic growth across the country.
This offers a huge opportunity for the construction sector and Build UK is committed to transforming the industry to become more efficient and financially viable. We do this by delivering projects that help to increase productivity, promote best practice and provide a consistent approach on a wide range of issues.
We have also proved to be good in a crisis. Build UK developed and maintained the Site Operating Procedures that kept construction operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and we are now at the forefront of helping the industry to navigate the new building safety regime.
Who We Are
Build UK has a small team based in the Building Centre, off Tottenham Court Road, which is at the heart of construction, with a fab café to boot.
We have a dynamic and fast-paced working environment which enables us to deliver our priorities whilst also responding to external challenges. We are process driven to ensure consistency and work well to a plan but are not afraid to try new things!
With a reputation for delivery, we are direct and honest and pride ourselves on our high standards, which is why so many organisations are part of #TeamBuildUK.
What We Are Looking For
Build UK delivers a wide-ranging programme of meetings and events for members, and you will need to be enthusiastic and proactive, with a keen eye for detail, to ensure they are organised effectively and run smoothly, helping to drive progress on issues facing the construction industry.
We pride ourselves on our delivery, so you will also need excellent organisational skills to ensure meetings and events are planned well in advance and follow-up actions are effectively managed.
We are a busy team, regularly tackling long-standing and complex issues, so the ability to prioritise and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment is essential!
